2. Clearwater, British Columbia
Stay
About the destination: Clearwater is a district municipality in the North Thompson River valley in British Columbia, Canada, where the Clearwater River empties into the North Thompson River. It is located 124 km (77 mi) north of Kamloops. Before European settlement, the area that is now occupied by the village was inhabited by the Okelhs First Nations. They were eventually superseded by the Chilcotins in the 1870s. The fur trade brought the earliest settlers to the area. The Overlanders expedition to the Cariboo goldfields rafted down the North Thompson River in 1862. When they first arrived at the mouth of the Clearwater River, they named it for its distinct clarity compared to the relatively muddy waters of the North Thompson. The Overlanders also named Raft Mountain, which rises northeast of Clearwater to a height of 2,450 m (8,038 ft).

About the destination: Certainly! Here’s a clear, American English translation of your text: Jasper is a town located in Jasper National Park, in the Alberta Rockies region of Alberta, Canada. Jasper National Park is part of a nationwide system of National Parks, national historic sites, and national marine conservation areas in Canada. Together with Banff, Kootenay, and Yoho National Parks, as well as Mount Robson, Hamber, and Assiniboine Provincial Parks in British Columbia, Jasper forms part of the world-famous Canadian Rockies World Heritage Site. Jasper is known for its stunning glaciers, including the Athabasca Glacier, which is the most accessible glacier in North America. While hiking in the mountains, you’ll also encounter smaller glaciers. Jasper offers over 1,000 kilometers (about 620 miles) of hiking trails, many of which are easily accessible from the town center.

4. Banff
Stay
About the destination: Banff serves as the entrance to the National Park that shares its name, home to some of Canada's most stunning natural wonders. The town itself is relatively small and caters to tourists. It offers numerous dining and shopping options, much like any other resort town. Situated in the Bow River valley, it's an ideal starting point for exploring the great outdoors. With its breathtaking mountains, glaciers, and moraine lakes, the scenery is unparalleled. Banff National Park is the oldest national park in Canada, established in 1885 in the Rocky Mountains. The park is situated 110–180 km west of Calgary in the province of Alberta, covering 6,641 km2 of mountainous terrain. It features numerous glaciers and ice fields, dense coniferous forests, and alpine landscapes. The Icefields Parkway, which extends from Lake Louise, connects to Jasper National Park in the north. Adjacent to the west are provincial forests and Yoho National Park, while Kootenay National Park is to the south and Kananaskis Country to the southeast. Visit Banff in the winter to enjoy skiing, or come during other times of the year to marvel at its majestic surroundings. The hiking trails around Banff are exceptional, but if hiking isn't your thing, you can simply unwind in the hot springs.
